The People Powering Our Wins

Michael Bowens

CEO
My name Is Michael Bowens. I’m from Newport News, VA originally, but I moved to Greensboro, NC when I was 8 years old. Growing up, I was really into sports. I played Basketball and went to to North Carolina Wesleyan, where I played Football and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems. I worked at a truck wash in NC before moving back to VA in 2023 because I saw no opportunity to grow, nor did I see myself making a career out of it.

This business was the first opportunity I came across when I got to VA, and I was skeptical of it at first. With it being door-to-door, it made me very nervous and uncomfortable. What kept me interested, honestly, was that there were growth opportunities within the business and it wasn’t all about sales, which I liked a lot! I had no background in sales, having done mostly hard labor, but I worked my way up to assistant manager and got promoted within a year and two months (despite, funnily enough, wanting to quit while I was in training) while working under Isaiah Harold (Prolific Solutions).

I’m entering into my second year in the business as an owner, though, I never saw myself owning a business. I started this journey focused only on making money, but I ended up with a goal: to teach people leadership skills who, like me, might not have the knowledge or background beforehand, and for them to spread those skills to the people around them.

Originally from Virginia, I spent most of my early years bouncing between VA, NC, and WV. Before stepping into the sales world, I worked as an HVAC technician for two years and later as an EMT for about eight months.

I joined the business in April/May 2024 — just over a year ago. Honestly, I came in thinking it was a pyramid scheme, but once I got out in the field and saw someone actually making money, it shifted my mindset. Watching my own promotion come through sealed the deal — that’s when I fully recognized the opportunity for growth here.

Since then, I’ve worked across three campaigns: I started with Verizon Fios for 9–10 months, transitioned to Verizon Wireless for about two months, and I’m currently working with AT&T on their NDS program, focusing on phones and 5G internet.

My current goal is to reach ownership within the next three months — I’m aiming to lock in that title before the summer ends.

Some fun facts:

I’m from Norfolk, VA, and I’ve spent a good amount of time in North Carolina as well.

I played college ball for a few years at Elizabeth City State University.

My first stint at Verizon lasted 9 months (I left for a year for personal reasons) and I’ve been back at it for 4 months now! On that note, I was actually intimidated by the door-to-door aspect, as well as relying strictly on sales, when I first started. However, I kept in mind that, as I was told growing up, if I was ever going to bet ANYTHING on ANYONE, I should bet on myself. So, I literally went for what I knew!

My experience:

My experience in my program so far is that I’ve probably (if not definitely) found the best opportunity I’ve ever come across! I’ve had opportunities to learn a set of professional skills here that I wouldn’t have anywhere else, as well as having the pleasure of enjoying other experiences that have allowed me to expand my network! Experiences like the National and Regional Conferences, Leadership Development seminars, and joining conference calls with some of the best Regional and National managers from their respective campaigns! This experience has really opened my eyes to the bigger opportunities for growth that are in this business.

My goals:

My short-term goals are:

To become one of the top reps on our campaign weekly. To build one of the strongest teams in the country.

My long-term goals are:

To be promoted out as Marketing Manager within the next 12 months. To be ready to be promoted out of my own market!

I was born in Virginia and have lived in over nine different states before eventually making my way back home. Nearly two years ago, I was working as a nurse at a nursing company. I made the decision to leave that career path — and on my very first campaign, I made thousands.

I initially joined the business between September and December, and after stepping away for a bit, I came back in May. That return changed everything. My perspective shifted, and I knew this was the right campaign for me. I’ve experienced tremendous personal and professional growth — especially during my time on the FIOS campaign. I never expected to come this far, and now I’m focused on not only reaching my own goals but helping others reach theirs as well.

My mission moving forward is to guide people — both toward where I want to go and where they want to be. I’m here to show that you can build something from nothing. I want to share the knowledge that was generously passed down to me, and empower others to push their limits and realize that anything is possible..

I graduated in Virginia and have proudly called it home ever since. I served in the United States Army for six years and continue to serve in the Army National Guard.

I entered the business in January 2025 — now going on six months. When I first interviewed, I thought I was applying for a traditional desk job in customer service. Instead, I found myself in a role that combines service with personal and professional development — where I’m being trained not just to grow my skills, but to eventually run and lead a business of my own.

I began my journey with the Verizon FIOS campaign and was later given the opportunity to transition to AT&T’s NDS program, working with phones and 5G internet.

My goal is to achieve ownership by the end of this year — and I plan to get there with a strong, dedicated team by my side.
